The Middle School Phase is led by Rebecca Parker and a team of highly skilled staff. Pupils work across three key learning spaces throughout the day.
The children have access to a wide range of interactive resources, specialist equipment and often explore the large school grounds in relation to curriculum topics.
The classes have weekly lessons in a heated swimming pool with a specialised swimming teacher. Pupils from the local primary school visit the classes once a week to join in with lessons. A range of professionals work closely with each child, including nurses, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists and occupational therapists
Each child has their own individual targets which they work on throughout the year in lessons, encouraging independence and aiding development.

Staff in Middle School are supported by their colleagues in the Pastoral Care and Pupil Wellbeing Teams
There is a strong culture of safeguarding in the school. Staff are highly vigilant and alert to any sign that may indicate a cause for concern. They are particularly secure in their knowledge around pupils who are non-verbal
