After School Club

We run a variety of After School Clubs for day pupils each week.  This allows our day pupils to access extended provision.  The clubs are run by our Teaching Assistants.

.

Mondays it’s a physical skills club for our Upper Phase students run by our Sports Co-ordinator.  Weather permitting, students work outside using bikes, trikes etc or they move into the PE Hall in winter and do activities such as yoga in there.

On a Wednesday afternoon, an aquatic learning after school club runs. The session is aimed at primary aged pupils and during the session, pupils take part in different activities and games, such as ‘volleyball’ and ‘corners’ whilst working on their aquatic learning target. The pupils also have the opportunity to work on independence skills whilst getting changed for the session by working on getting dressed and undressed as independently as possible.

On a Thursday we offer an after school club from 3:30-4:30pm to some pupils from Middle School. We have chosen to make this a food based session and will be exploring different foods and making different things.

The activities will focus on encouraging pupils to explore a range of different foods, tastes and smells. It will also encourage using different tools to chop, scoop, mix and blend to create their master pieces.

We can also provide transport home for our day pupils for a nominal charge if necessary.

The school always makes us feel very welcome and includes us in all details of school life
